1215 Carbon Steel Bar is one kind of free cutting steel bar by adding more sulfur and phosphorus. 1215 steel bar is free cuutting and free machining with good machinability because of higher content of sulfur and phosphorus. It is widely used to produce automatic screw machine parts. The popular condition of 1215 steel bar is in cold drawn bright surface. Cold drawn 1215 carbon steel bar is used by machine parts manufacturing which require easily machining, bright finishes and precision dimensions. 1215 steel grade has low carbon content, so the strength is lower than other steel grades.
