We produce 4140 tg&p steel bright bars used to produce steel dowel pins which are used as pivots, hinges, shafts, jigs to locate or hold parts. 4140 tg&p steel bars are in the following delivery condition such as: quenched & tempered, centerless ground and polished. We can also supply turned or peeled steel bar, turned steel bar, peeled steel bar, polished steel bar and centerless ground bar. All of the bars are Bright Steel Bar with good surface quality. It is produced by 4140 Quenched And Tempered Steel Bar and 4140 Turned and polished Steel Bar,.

The 4140 steel specification is as below:

1. Steel material: aisi 4140, sae 4140 or astm 4140. We do supply 4140 completely as american steel standard, not similar materials.

2. Steel bar diameters: We can produce 4140 steel bars diameters from 12mm to 100mm, the tolerance is within +0/-0.02mm

3. Steel bar length: We have dis saw cutting machines which can cut the bars as you required, the tolerance is within +/-1mm

4. Steel bar surface: We produce 4140 tg&p steel bright bars, the surface roughness can be controled below 0.4RA after polishing.

5. Steel bar straightness: We have fine straightening machines to guarantee the bars length can be within 0.5mm/m.

6. Steel bars quality guarantee: 

1) After the raw mateirals coming into our factory, we will do complete inspection on the hot rolled steel bars, for example:

A. Chemical composition : We have German imported spetrometer to test the chemical composition.

B. Microstructure testing: We will test the goods non-metallic inclusion,  grain size, segregation, porosity etc. 

C. Ultrasonic Testing:  Test the bars to guarantee the bars no cracks

2) During the goods in production, we do frequent inspection on the diameters and surfaces and check the production machine running datas in normal situation and take the samples for test.

3) After the goods finished, we will do surface quality test and the mechanical properties test, for example:

A. Eddy Current Inspection

B. Magnetic Particle Inspection

C. Strength Test: 

D. Hardnes Test: 35HRC max

E: Impact AKV test: We can do the impsct test in the centegaree such as 20, 0, -20, -70, -101.

The mechanical properties can be got by heat treatment according to your requirements.
