Normalized 4140 alloy steel round bar is 4140 steel round bar after normalizing. After normalizing, 4140 steel bar can get better microstructure and hardness suitable for uses.
4140 steel is a Chromium-Molybdenum through-hardening steel of medium hardenability. It is a general purpose high-tensile steel with medium strength level and good impact properties. Similar to sae 1045 steel grade and sae 5140 steel grade, they are all medium carbon steel. But 4140 steel bar has better mechanical properties than 5140 and 1045 steel round bar.
